After enabling the Sponsors feature on your campaign, you can begin creating your sponsorship packages. You will have the option to display these packages publicly when you’re ready, but by default they are only accessible in your Dashboard until you choose to display them on your campaign page.
Create sponsorship package
Visit your campaign’s Dashboard.
Click Sponsors on the left side menu. If you have not added any sponsors yet, you’ll see a button to Create Package. You can also click Create in the top right corner, then select Package.
In the pop-up that appears, you will see options to customize the Details, Tickets, Benefits, and Settings affiliated with each package.
In the Details tab, include the Package Name (required). If desired, you can include a short description of the package.
The Ticket tab will only appear on In-Person Event and P2P In-Person Event campaign types. If this feature is available, you will have the option to indicate how many tickets the sponsor should receive and select the ticket type.
In the Benefits tab, click Add Benefit to begin listing the package benefits. Repeat for each additional benefit.
In the Settings tab, enter the Package Price (required). If there is a Package Quantity Limit, you can enter the total available to ensure your package displays as Sold Out once the limit is reached.
Click Save. The package you created will appear in your Dashboard. You will be able to edit the package, duplicate it to create a similar package, or disable it to hide it from public purchase.
Note: Once you’ve finalized your sponsorship packages and are ready to showcase them on your campaign page, you can visit Settings > Campaign Page and then use the Add Section feature to place the Sponsorship Package display on the appropriate page of your campaign. Duplicate sponsorship package
Once you've created your first sponsor package, you can duplicate it to make an exact copy. This can be helpful when you are creating similar packages and need to reduce the benefits included for lower tiers. By default, duplicated packages are disabled, giving you time to edit them before you make them available for purchase.
Visit your campaign’s Dashboard.
Click Sponsors on the left side menu.
Find the package you would like to duplicate and select the three dot menu in the top corner of the package.
Select Duplicate Package.
A copy of the sponsor package will appear. It will be labeled as a copy and turned off by default. Click on the three dot menu and select Edit Package to revise it. Adjust the toggle to turn the package on when you want to enable it for sale.
Disable sponsorship package
If you need to hide a sponsorship package from public purchase, you can disable the package by toggling it off. If you have the Sponsorship Packages content block enabled to sell your packages, disabled packages will not appear on the list of packages or at sponsor checkout.
A sponsorship package can be enabled or disabled by adjusting the toggle on the package. When the toggle is green, the sponsorship package is enabled. When the toggle is gray, the sponsorship package is disabled.
Note: Disabled sponsor packages can still be sold when adding sponsors internally via your Dashboard. The Sponsors content block that displays your sponsor logos will also give you the option to show sponsors affiliated with disabled packages. This gives you flexibility to limit sales of certain packages or curate custom packages not available to the general public.
Options for showcasing benefits
When people browse your sponsor packages, they will see the details you’ve provided in the Description and Package Benefits, if you entered content. Below is an example of four packages (one with both a description and package benefits, one with just a description, one with just package benefits, and one with no details) to show you how they will appear to those browsing.
Adding tickets to sponsor packages
Tickets can optionally be added to sponsor packages on both In-Person Event and P2P In-Person Event campaign types, allowing you to track and manage sponsor attendees. You will be able to indicate the quantity of tickets included in the package and the sponsor will receive a unique invite code that their attendees can use to register for free (or that the sponsor can use to register their participants) that is limited to the indicated number of included tickets.
You can only assign one ticket type to a sponsor package, but the ticket you assign can be a hidden/disabled ticket that is not available to the general public. If there’s specific questions you want to ask of sponsor participants or if you want to create a simple, streamlined ticket just for them, you can create a new ticket, immediately hide it by toggling it off, and then apply it to a sponsor package. Anyone registering with the sponsor invite code will be able to register with that ticket, but the general public will not see it appear as a registration option.
Note: Tickets with a minimum fundraising commitment cannot be added to sponsorship packages. If you’re adding tickets to sponsor packages on a P2P In-Person Event that only has tickets with a required fundraising commitment, you will need to create a new ticket without a fundraising commitment enabled. You can disable/hide the new ticket intended for sponsors so non-sponsor attendees can’t select it, but still use it for your sponsor package tickets.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I delete a sponsorship package?
Sponsorship packages that have not been sold can be deleted. When editing the package, click on the Trash Can icon in the top right corner. If a sponsorship package has already been sold, it cannot be deleted. However, you can disable the sponsorship package and hide it from public view.
Does editing the sponsorship package affect the sold sponsorships affiliated with the package?
No. Any changes you make to a sponsorship package will only apply to future packages that are sold. They are not retroactively applied to sponsors that have already purchased the package.
