Enable Sponsors feature

Turn on the ability to sell, display, and manage sponsorship packages on your campaign

Updated this week

Note: The Sponsors feature can be enabled on any Pledge It campaign type with the exception of Donation Forms.

If you have sponsorship packages that you’d like to display, sell, or manage alongside your campaign, Pledge It provides a comprehensive solution to help you track your sponsorships. If your campaign does not have specific sponsor packages or if you don’t have a need to track sponsorship sales as part of your event, you can still display and recognize sponsor logos using our Logo Grid feature.

The Sponsors feature can help you streamline how you handle sponsorships for your event and reduce staff time. While you don’t need to utilize all these features, you will be able to do the following once enabled:

  • Build and curate sponsorship packages

  • Display sponsorship packages for purchase

  • Easily add offline sponsor payments and track unpaid sponsors

  • Invoice sponsors

  • Include free tickets in a sponsorship package, allowing sponsor-affiliated attendees to easily claim tickets with an invite code

  • Recognize sponsors instantly with automated sponsor logo display

  • Customize an automated receipt to sponsors

  • Easily message sponsors

Enable Sponsors feature

  1. Visit your campaign’s Dashboard.

  2. Select Settings on the left side menu, then select Sponsors.

  3. Adjust the toggle to turn this feature on. You will be taken you to the Sponsors settings menu.

    1. Review the options under the Setup tab and Collect Info tab to make any desired updates to the purchasing instructions or sponsor custom questions.

    2. Visit Checkout Options on the left side menu. Under Contact Info, configure the contact information collected from sponsors. Under Fee Settings, configure the fee settings applied at sponsor checkout.

  4. Once the Sponsors feature is enabled, your campaign's dashboard will feature a new section labeled Sponsors. Head to the Sponsors dashboard where you can begin creating sponsorship packages.

Configure Sponsor Checkout

When enabling the Sponsors feature, you will be able to adjust settings that affect the sponsor checkout experience. Below is a preview of the sponsor checkout experience that shows the default information collected: Sponsor Name, Sponsor Logo, Sponsor Website IRL, Contact First and Last Name, and Contact Email.

  • To collect additional contact info(mailing address or phone number) or change fee settings at Sponsor checkout, visit Settings > Checkout Options.

  • To add custom questions, visit Settings > Sponsors > Collect Info.

Note: If tickets are included in a sponsor package, the checkout experience will include the option for them to customize an invite code. This will not appear if tickets have not been applied to their package.

The sponsor's experience

If you have enabled the Sponsors feature, your potential and current sponsors will be able to:

  • Browse available packages and see which packages are sold out

  • Checkout via an online payment portal

  • Customize a unique invite code their attendees can use to claim their tickets (if tickets are enabled for their package)

  • Receive an instant receipt for their sponsorship when paying online or when their offline payment has been marked as received

  • Immediately see their logo or name appear on your Sponsors logo display, hyperlinking to their website (if you have enabled the Sponsors display)

Note: If a sponsor wants to pay by check or wants an invoice, they will need to mail their check to you or contact you to request an invoice. We recommend including instructions for check payments or invoice requests in the Purchasing Instructions, which you can customize under Settings > Sponsors > Setup.
