Note: At this time, ticket bundles are only available on In-Person Event campaign types.
When setting up registration for an In-Person Event campaign, you have the option to offer individual tickets and ticket bundles. Ticket bundles are comprised of a set number of individual tickets that you determine, making it easier for one person to register their entire group.
Common use cases for ticket bundles include:
Foursome registrations for a golf tournament
Table tickets for a gala or banquet
Couples tickets or family packs for ticketed events
When purchasing a ticket bundle, your supporters will have flexibility to complete registration within the check-out process for each of their guests (if they know who will be attending) or generate an invite code to share with guests to complete their registration for free after purchase.
You will be able to monitor how many tickets from the ticket bundle have been claimed and cancel tickets if needed. If you need to resend the invite code to the purchaser of the ticket bundle, you’ll be able to copy it or resend their original receipt that includes the invite code.
As part of creating a ticket bundle, you will need to review and customize the individual ticket that will be included in the bundle. The settings and custom questions affiliated with the individual ticket will determine what info you are collecting about each guest registered as part of the bundle, but the price of your ticket bundle can be set independently from your individual ticket price.
Create Ticket Bundle
Visit your campaign’s Dashboard.
Select Settings from the left side menu, then select Registration.
The first thing you’ll see in your Registration settings is the Ticket tab with options for both Individual Tickets and Ticket Bundles. At least one individual ticket is required to build a ticket bundle. If you are creating a new campaign, a free ticket named "Individual Registration" is already added to get you started.
Click on the Edit icon to customize the individual ticket as needed, such as setting what contact information is required. Depending on your event needs, you may also want to enable additional custom questions for that ticket. This action can be done before or after creating the bundle.
Under the Ticket Bundles section, click + Ticket Bundle. A pop-up will appear where you can configure settings for a new ticket bundle.
In the Details tab, set the bundle name (i.e. Foursome, Gala Table) and a short description of what is included (optional).
In the Tickets tab, use the dropdown menu to select which individual ticket will be bundled and provide the quantity of tickets included in the bundle.
In the Settings tab, set the bundle price and adjust the tax-deductibility setting as needed. You can also set a quantity limit (optional) for how many ticket bundles you are able to sell.
Click Save when complete. You will now see both your Individual Ticket and your Ticket Bundle active on your campaign.
Note: If your event only plans to sell ticket bundles (not individual tickets), you can simply toggle off any individual tickets, converting them into a hidden ticket that is no longer available for public purchase. They will still be synced to your Ticket Bundle or to any Sponsor packages that you have set to include that ticket.
In the above screenshot, both the Individual Ticket and Ticket Bundle are live for purchase, but this can be changed by toggling off the individual ticket.
How Purchasing a Ticket Bundle Works
When a supporter purchases a ticket bundle, they will be able to assign each ticket to a guest, if they know who will be attending with them. If the purchaser does not know who will be joining them yet, they can customize an invite code to share with the guests in their group, allowing those individuals to enter their information later.
Below is an example of what a supporter who is purchasing a 4-ticket bundle will see during the registration process. They can click on each ticket to input details for each guest, including themself, or create their own invite code to share with their group later.
Their invite code and a record of who they registered at the time of purchase will be included in their Order Receipt. In the below example, the purchaser registered themself, but did not register the three other guests. Their invite code is provided so they can share it with potential guests who can input their information later.
Monitoring Ticket Bundles
Across entire campaign
Under the Recruit tab of your campaign's Dashboard, you will see a breakdown of participants who are registered or unclaimed. "Registered" means that a name and/or contact details have been provided for that individual. "Unclaimed" means a ticket is being held for someone through a ticket bundle (or a sponsorship), but no details have been provided for that guest yet.
Note: Unclaimed registrations are included in your overall attendee count to help you manage your event size and capacity. Even if attendees don't put their information on file in advance, you will still be able to check them in on Event Day based on their guest affiliation, putting their info on file for your records.
In the example below, a ticket bundle of four tickets was purchased. The purchaser registered themselves during registration, but did not provide names or information for the other three guests, so the dashboard shows one registered and three unclaimed. The purchaser received an invite code that they (or their guests) can use to provide information for those participants once determined. As tickets are claimed, the Recruit tab will automatically update to help you keep track of the number of unclaimed tickets.
Note: If you have enabled the Sponsors feature and have included tickets within any of your sponsorship packages, this display will also show unclaimed sponsor tickets, flagged as "Sponsorship" in the Type column.
Within a purchased ticket bundle
When viewing a purchased ticket bundle, you will see a summary of how many tickets were provided and how many have been claimed. Unclaimed tickets are displayed as “Guest of” the order buyer’s name until the invite code is used, at which point the registered individual’s name will appear. You can navigate to the purchased ticket bundle in a few ways.
From the Recruit tab in your Dashboard:
Click on the Unclaimed tab and select an unclaimed ticket to view the order their ticket bundle is affiliated with
You'll be taken to the order Overview where you will see the purchaser's contact information if you need to connect with them about any unclaimed tickets
Select the Participants tab to view a summary of the ticket bundle and see how many participants have registered
From your main Dashboard:
Select Orders on the left side menu
Search for the purchaser's name in the Orders table
You'll be taken to the order Overview where you will see the purchaser's contact information if you need to connect with them about any unclaimed tickets
Select the Participants tab to view a summary of the ticket bundle and see how many participants have registered
In the example below, the purchaser has only registered himself and three tickets are still unclaimed. If the purchaser has forgotten their invite code, you can copy it from this page to send to them.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do quantity limits for ticket bundles and individual tickets work?
Quantity limits are optional to use. You can set quantity limits on both ticket bundles and individual tickets, depending on your event needs. Keep in mind that because individual tickets are what make up your ticket bundles, these limits do interact.
For example, the limit you set on your individual tickets determines your overall event capacity. If you set a limit of 50 individual tickets and then a limit of 8 ticket bundles including 10 tickets each, your ticket bundles will sell out prematurely as you've set your overall event capacity at 50.
Can I cancel registrations within a ticket bundle?
Yes, if a registered participant affiliated with a ticket bundle is no longer able to attend the event, you can cancel their ticket. This will revert the ticket to an "unclaimed" status so it could be used by another guest of the purchaser, if desired.
How can I apply different custom questions to ticket bundles vs. individual registrations?
The custom questions you apply to an individual ticket will be asked when a purchaser is registering guests as part of a ticket bundle. If you need to curate different questions for individual attendees purchasing just one ticket that do not need to apply to your ticket bundles, simply create a new individual ticket that is tailored for your ticket bundle needs. Apply that ticket to your ticket bundle, but toggle it off for general use.
