Note: The ability for a participant to keep a credit card on file to participate in your event’s fundraising activities is specific to the In-Person Event campaign type.
If you have enabled the pre-event auto email to collect card on file on an In-Person Event campaign, the platform will automatically send an email to participants to help collect a card on file. This email will be sent to participants after they register for your event. If participants do not place a card on file, they will receive the email again on the morning of your event. This email can also be sent to participants during check in.
Steps
Visit your campaign's Dashboard.
Select Settings on the left side menu, then select Email.
Click on Edit below Card on File. You will see a preview display of the email display in the right pane.
Click Save when finished editing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I not see the option to edit this email?
This email is only available on In-Person Event campaigns and you must choose to enable the pre-event auto email to collect card on file before it will appear as an option.
If there are registrations on my campaign without an email on file, how can I collect a card on file for those participants?
Those participants will not receive this email before your event if they don't have an email on file. When checking in guests without an email, you can collect their email at check in and choose to trigger this email to them or you can add their card on their behalf manually. Learn more about how to place a credit on file during check in.
