If a participant is no longer involved in your campaign, you can remove their participant profile entirely so they no longer receive any campaign communications.
Note: The steps for removing a participant vary slightly depending on what type of campaign you are hosting. Confirm your campaign type in your Campaign Dashboard and follow the steps below.
Remove participant from Peer-to-Peer or Virtual Challenge
Visit your campaign’s Dashboard.
Go to the Recruit tab and search for the participant you’d like to remove in the Participant table.
Click on the participant’s name to open up their participant record. On the right side menu, click on the three dot menu below their name and select Delete Permanently.
In the pop-up that appears, confirm that you want to delete the participant by clicking Remove.
They will no longer be listed as a participant on your campaign and any donations they received will be reassigned to their team (if they were on a team) or as general donations to your campaign.
Remove participant from P2P In-Person Event
Visit your campaign’s Dashboard.
Go to the Recruit tab and search for the participant you’d like to remove in the Participant table.
Click on the participant’s name to open up their participant record. On the right side menu, click on the three dot menu below their name.
If the participant is a fundraiser on your campaign, select Remove Fundraising. In the pop-up that appears, check the box to also cancel their ticket and click Remove.
If the participant is a non-fundraising participant, select Mark ticket as canceled. In the pop-up that appears, confirm by clicking Cancel ticket.
These steps will mark the participant’s ticket/registration as canceled and remove it from your participant count. This will not refund the ticket buyer or change the order total if a registration payment was made. Any refunds need to be processed separately in Stripe.
Frequently Asked Questions
I canceled a participant’s ticket but they still have a fundraising page. How do I remove them completely?
Canceling a ticket does not also remove a participant’s fundraising page, as there are cases where participants may not be able to attend an event but still want to fundraise for the cause. To remove their fundraising page, visit their participant record, click the three dot menu under their name, and select Remove Fundraising.
