Note: The Achievements feature, which includes Milestones and Incentives, is only applicable to campaigns with peer-to-peer features.
Pledge It's Achievements feature is a powerful tool for peer-to-peer campaigns, allowing you to set custom milestones and incentives for fundraisers and track their progress. As fundraisers reach their goals—whether that’s raising $100, reaching 100% of their fundraising goal, or recording 100 miles of activity in a movement challenge—you can configure the milestone message they receive and track any incentives they earn.
Why use this feature? Personal recognition on peer-to-peer campaigns goes a long way in keeping your fundraisers motivated. But when your campaign has hundreds of participants, it can be hard to maintain that personal touch. With this toolset, you can tailor your milestone and incentive messages once, then let the platform automate recognition for you.
Using Milestones
Milestones give you the ability to define moments where you want to celebrate and encourage your participants along their fundraising journey. For each milestone created, you can customize a message of motivation that the fundraiser would receive upon reaching the milestone.
Milestones can be created based on:
Progress to Fundraising Goal
Amount Raised
Progress to Activity Goal*
Activity Amount*
Note: Activity-based milestones only apply when Activity Tracking is enabled. Virtual Challenge campaigns are the only campaign type where Progress to Activity Goal is an option.
By default, every P2P-enabled campaign will have four basic milestones enabled for Progress to Fundraising Goal, acknowledging when fundraisers reach 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the personal fundraising goal they've set. You can choose to delete or disable these default milestones or update them with impact-oriented messages and graphics.
Any additional milestones beyond Progress to Fundraising Goal must be customized by your organization.
Using Incentives
The Incentives feature can be used to notify fundraisers of incentives they’ve earned when they reach certain milestones. This feature will also help your organization keep track of which fundraisers have qualified for incentives to assist in fulfillment.
For example, if you are offering an incentive of a free t-shirt to any fundraiser that raises $100, you would create a milestone for $100 raised and create an incentive for a t-shirt that you connect to that milestone. When a participant raises $100, an email is automatically triggered to the fundraiser to reward them for reaching the milestone and earning the t-shirt incentive. They would be added to a list in your Incentives dashboard, where your team would be able to mark the incentive as fulfilled when their t-shirt has been distributed.
When creating an incentive, you can:
Select which milestone will activate the incentive
Provide a photo of the incentive that will appear in notifications to fundraisers who earn it
Provide a description of the incentive or any instructions needed to claim it
The information you customize for the incentive will be visible to fundraisers only when they qualify for the incentive.
The Fundraiser Experience
Using Achievements can help keep your fundraisers motivated to reach their goals. When milestones are met and/or incentives are earned, fundraisers will be notified over email and be able to monitor their Achievements progress when logged into their fundraising account.
Email Examples
Milestone Only
This is an example of the milestone email a fundraiser receives when a milestone has been met. One of the default images is shown, but a custom message has been provided. Your organization can tailor both the image (optional) and message (optional) for each milestone to match your organization's branding and mission.
Milestone with Incentive Earned
This is an example of the milestone email a fundraiser receives when a milestone has been met and an incentive has been earned for reaching the milestone. One of the default images is shown, but a custom message has been provided and a picture of the incentive has been uploaded. Your organization can tailor both the images (optional) and messages (optional) for each milestone and incentive to match your organization's branding and mission.
Achievements Menu
This is an example of what a fundraiser would see when visiting the Achievements menu when logged into their account. The Milestones section shows progress towards any milestones that are created on your campaign, showing participants which targets they've reached in each category. The Incentives section shows them incentives they have earned.
In this example, the fundraiser qualified for a t-shirt incentive by raising $100. The $100 milestone is marked as complete and the t-shirt appears under Incentives.
Note: Incentives are only visible to fundraisers in the Achievements menu if they have qualified for the incentive. If your campaign is not using Incentives, that section will not appear for fundraisers.

Frequently Asked Questions
How are milestones and incentives tracked?
Milestones and incentives are tracked based on individual fundraiser performance relative to category the milestone was created in. At this time, milestones and incentives do not apply to team performance.
Can I disable milestones or incentives mid-campaign?
Yes, you can toggle off any milestone or incentive mid-campaign. This prevents fundraisers from achieving additional milestones and incentives, but does not impact any communication already sent to fundraisers.
Milestones or incentives that have not been met by any fundraisers can be deleted to remove them from view.
What happens if I create new milestones and/or incentives mid-campaign?
Milestone emails are not retroactively sent to fundraisers who might have already qualified for any new milestones created, but fundraisers would be able to see if they have reached a milestone by viewing the Achievements menu when logged in.
Incentives are only tracked after the incentive is created. Incentives do not retroactively apply to fundraisers.
