Modify or cancel a purchased item

Cancel or make changes to an item that has been purchased in your Shop

Note: The Shop feature only applies to In-Person Event or P2P In-Person Event campaign types.

When using the Shop feature, you can make changes to a buyer's order, such as updating their size or color preference or even canceling their order.

Canceling an item from an order will mark the item as canceled and remove it from item sold counts and totals. Canceling an item will not generate a refund. Any refund will need to be made separately via Stripe.

Steps

  1. Visit your campaign's Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Shop on the left side menu.

  3. Select the Sales tab to pull up a table of your product orders. Use the search feature to find the buyer's item that you need to modify.

  4. Click on the buyer name or item name to pull up their Shop Purchase.

  5. Select the gray Edit icon next to the Mark Fulfilled button.

  6. In the pop-up that appears, you can make changes to their selection and click Save or click Cancel This Item From Order.

Does canceling or editing a Shop purchase notify the buyer?

No. We assume you are already in communication with the buyer about their need to cancel or make changes to their item order.

How do refund someone for their Shop purchase?

Refunds must be performed through Stripe. Visit your organization's Stripe dashboard, search for the email address of the supporter who needs the refund, and locate their financial transaction. Note that their Shop purchase may be part of a large transaction that included registration to your event. Perform a partial refund by entering just the amount of the Shop item to be refunded.
