Log performance results for a participant on an activity-based campaign

When activity tracking is enabled on a peer-to-peer campaign, fundraisers set a goal for their activity and can track their performance. Donors supporting that fundraiser are able to support them with a pledge per activity or a flat donation.

An important part of this involves the fundraiser posting an update to record and finalize their results. If a fundraiser has collected a pledge but has not entered any results, that pledge is at risk. Fundraisers are sent reminders over email to confirm their results, but if they do not take action, you may need to post results for a participant.

Note: Results for participants on your activity-based campaign must be entered within seven days from your activity window closing. After the week-long wrap-up window closes, donors who pledged are invoiced and totals cannot be changed. Learn about how you can monitor your campaign to see if there are outstanding pledges so you can ensure results get posted in a timely manner.

Steps

  1. Visit your campaign’s Dashboard.

  2. Go to the Recruit tab and in your Participants table, search for the participant that you need to post results for.

  3. Click on their participant profile, then visit the Updates tab. You will see a record of any posts the fundraiser has made, if any.

  4. Click in the box that says Share an update with the community. In the pop-up that appears, enter their activity total.

    1. You can optionally add a message or photo if you know there was something the fundraiser wanted to share, but the only required piece is the activity metric.

    2. You can also indicate if this update should be sent to the participant’s donors, which is optional.

  5. Click Post Update. Depending on your campaign type, you may see a prompt asking if the participant is finished and shown their performance total to confirm it is correct. Follow any steps to confirm.

Note: If a participant has posted their results during your campaign but is still receiving the email reminders to finalize their total, they may have missed the step where they need to confirm they are finished. When viewing the Updates tab on their participant profile, look for a Submit button in the top right corner. This will let you review their results and confirm they are finished.

A participant has posted the wrong amount for their activity total. How can I help them fix it?

You can edit or delete any updates the participant has already posted, as long as you are within the week-long wrap-up window. Visit the Updates tab of their participant profile and click the Edit button on their post. You will be able to change the total they entered on their update or delete their post.
