Upload the right size photo or graphic

Updated over 2 months ago

There are a number of places to upload photos and graphics across your campaign page. Depending on where you are adding your photo, there may be restrictions on the photo’s dimensions, as some spots enforce a 4:3 aspect ratio (rectangle) or 1:1 aspect ratio (square).

Regardless of the dimensions of the photo you’re uploading, we recommend using a high resolution image that isn’t blurry.

Campaign Header

The campaign header requires a 4:3 aspect ratio. While you can upload an image of any dimension, you will be forced to crop it to a 4:3 aspect ratio (rectangle). To upload a file that meets that exact ratio, you can use any of the following dimensions:

  • 1024x768

  • 1600x1200

  • 1920x1440

Note: The Campaign Header has three display options to choose from that affect your campaign’s display on desktop or laptop: Fade, Side-by-Side, and Overlay. The Overlay option will display your image across the header background, but that space holding the image will scale according to a viewer’s screen size. We recommend using something that is intended to be a background photo if going with this option, not necessarily a graphic with text or logos that may be cut off depending on the viewer’s screen size. If you're adding a graphic with text you want folks to read, we'd recommend using the Side by Side header option so it can be read in full on all devices.

Custom Content Photos

When uploading images via a Custom Content block, there are no restrictions on the aspect ratio. An image of any dimension can be uploaded and cropped as desired. You will have the option to display the image in its original size or to choose from preset display size options of Large, Medium, or Small.

Fundraiser and Team Profile Photo

Fundraiser and team profile photos appear on campaigns with peer-to-peer fundraising enabled. The profile picture is what will be displayed next to the fundraiser or team on the Leaderboard and as a small profile icon on their page. Profile photos require a 1:1 aspect ratio (square) and will be displayed in a circle. To upload a file that meets this exact ratio, you can use any of the following dimensions:

  • 200x200

  • 300x300

  • 500x500

Note: Because your image will be displayed in a circle, we recommend ensuring you have a small border of white or blank space around your image if you want a graphic or logo to display in full.

Fundraiser and Team Cover Photo

Cover photos on fundraiser and team pages require a 4:3 aspect ratio. While you can upload an image of any dimension, you will be forced to crop it to a 4:3 aspect ratio (rectangle). To upload a file that meets that exact ratio, you can use any of the following dimensions:

  • 1024x768

  • 1600x1200

  • 1920x1440

Note: When fundraiser/team pages are viewed on mobile devices, the fundraiser/team profile photo will slightly overlap the image in the bottom center. If you are uploading a graphic with text, you may want to avoid placing important text in the bottom third of the photo.

Auction Item

Auction item photos require a 4:3 aspect ratio. While you can upload an image of any dimension, you will be forced to crop it to a 4:3 aspect ratio (rectangle). To upload a file that meets that exact ratio, you can use any of the following dimensions:

  • 1024x768

  • 1600x1200

  • 1920x1440

Impact Story

Impact Story photos require a 4:3 aspect ratio. While you can upload an image of any dimension, you will be forced to crop it to a 4:3 aspect ratio (rectangle). To upload a file that meets that exact ratio, you can use any of the following dimensions:

  • 1024x768

  • 1600x1200

  • 1920x1440

Sponsor Logos

Note: This content is relevant only when using the Sponsors feature on your campaign to sell and manage sponsorship packages.

When adding sponsor logos manually or when a sponsor is prompted to upload their logo, there are no restrictions on the aspect ratio. An image of any dimension can be uploaded and cropped as desired.

However, the display size of the sponsor logo as it appears on the Sponsor Logo content block will be determined by the settings you have enabled, if you have added the Sponsor Logo content block to your campaign page design. It features options for Extra Small, Small, Medium, and Large, allowing you to have different sizes correlated with different package options.

Find the Sponsor Logo content block by visiting your campaign’s Dashboard > Settings > Campaign Page > Add Section and then customizing your size preferences for each package level. This content block will only appear if you have enabled Sponsors on your campaign under Settings > Sponsors.

Logo Grid

When uploading images to the Logo Grid, there are no restrictions on the aspect ratio. An image of any dimension can be uploaded and cropped as desired. The display size of the images will not be the original size of the image uploaded – the display size will be reduced to fit the Logo Grid display.
