Create a new campaign

Create a campaign that matches your needs by answering a few simple questions

You can create a new fundraising campaign at any time. There is no limit on the number of campaigns you can create or have active in your Pledge It account. The campaign creation process will ask you a series of questions to determine the campaign type best suited for your needs.

Steps

  1. Visit your Organization Dashboard and select Campaigns.

  2. Select the +Campaign button in the top right corner. You’ll see options to duplicate a previous campaign, create a new campaign, or to fundraise on your website.

  3. Select Create a New Campaign to create an event, peer-to-peer campaign, or crowdfunding campaign. Select I Want To Fundraise on My Website if you’d like to create a donation form that can be hosted or embedded directly on your website.

  4. When following the Create a New Campaign procedure, you will be asked a series of questions, with your responses helping configure the correct campaign style. Your responses don’t have to be perfect, as you can always adjust your options later, but they help ensure you’re working on the best campaign style for your fundraising needs. An overview of the questions is provided below, but depending on your responses, not all these questions will be asked:

    1. Your campaign’s name

    2. Your fundraising goal

    3. Whether or not your campaign involves an in-person component

    4. When your event is being held in-person

    5. Whether or not your participants will be fundraising

    6. If your fundraisers will be on teams

    7. If your fundraisers will be tracking activity to collect pledges

    8. Where supporters can contact you with questions

    9. If you would like to connect your new campaign to one of your previous campaigns, enabling our connected campaign features that help you track year-over-year progress and recruit previous participants

  5. After completing the questions, you will reach a Campaign Summary page that will confirm the type of campaign you are creating. Review this page to confirm your campaign style aligns with what you need or select Back to adjust your preferred settings.

  6. Select Create and Go To Campaign to proceed. You’ll be prompted to visit the Settings menu of your new campaign to continue customizing it.

Note: Nothing you enter in this process is set in stone! You can always adjust your campaign settings or create a new campaign.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make a copy of a previous campaign?

Absolutely. Choose the Duplicate a Previous Campaign option to copy that campaign’s structure and content. Learn more about what happens when you duplicate a campaign.

I made the wrong campaign style. Can I delete it and start over?

Of course. You can delete a campaign by visiting your Campaign Dashboard and clicking on the three dot menu shown when hovering over your campaign. Select Delete to remove that campaign from your dashboard.
