Maintain communication with your fundraisers with pre-written, customizable templates

Updated over 2 months ago

If your campaign has a peer-to-peer component, you’ll find that your Message Center includes template messages designed to help you maintain communication with your fundraisers throughout the duration of your campaign.

Regular communication with fundraisers is an integral part of a successful fundraising campaign but it can be a lot of work to draft messages if you’re unsure where to start. Our message templates cover a variety of topics, from simple “how to” instructions to fundraising tips and more. They can be loaded directly into a message sent on Pledge It or copy/pasted to send through your own mail service. Add instructions, examples, and details specific to your own campaign to make them yours.

Steps

  1. From your campaign Dashboard, select Messages.

  2. Select the Templates tab at the top of the page.

  3. Browse the available templates that are sorted by category. You’ll see the intended audience of each message listed.

  4. Click on a message template to preview the message.

  5. Select Use in Message to bring the message directly into your Message Center’s message editor, where you can edit and refine the message to make it specific to your campaign, if desired.

Note: The "Recruiting from previous campaign" templates will only appear if you have connected a previous campaign.

Best Practices

  • While our template messages can be sent as-is, we recommend customizing them to align with your campaign’s mission and your organization’s voice.

  • It’s easy to fall behind on communication when things get busy. Consider customizing a series of messages before your campaign begins or when you have some downtime and have them drafted and ready to send when needed.
