Note: The Live Auction feature is specific to In-Person Event campaigns.
When using Pledge It's Live Auction feature, you will be able to create listings for each of your live auction items. This allows you to showcase your live auction items in advance of your event (optional) and quickly and easily record a winning bid for live auction item.
Note: Live auction items created in your dashboard will not be visible until you choose to feature them on your campaign. Learn more about displaying your live auction items.
Create a Live Auction Item
Visit your campaign's Dashboard.
Select Live Auction on the left side menu.
Select Create Item in the top right corner.
In the pop-up that appears:
Upload a photo of the live auction item
Enter a title for the live auction item
Enter an item number (if using Manual numbering)
Enter the estimated value (optional)
Enter an item description
Click Save.
Upon creation, the item you added will be listed under the Items tab of your Live Auction dashboard. The status will be listed as Active until a winning bid is assigned. You will be able to return and edit the item at any time using the provided three dot menu.
Note: The title you enter for the Live Auction item is what will appear in the itemized Order Receipt participants will receive after their payment is processed.
Frequently Asked Question
If I have multiples of the same item that will be auctioned off in my Live Auction, do I need to create multiple item listings?
No. You will be able to add more than one winner to a Live Auction item. We recommend noting in the Live Auction item description that multiples will be auctioned off.
I need to number items but I am not seeing the option.
Item numbering must be enabled in order for the number options to appear. Visit Settings > Live Auction and confirm you have enabled Automatic or Manual item numbering. Learn more about live auction item numbering.
