Create a Live Display

Projectable on any TV or tablet, live activity displays keep attendees engaged

If you are hosting an event on Pledge It, your campaign will feature additional tools to help you run a successful in-person event, including customizable Live Displays.

Live Displays can be shown on any monitor, TV screen, or tablet display and they update in real-time, keeping your attendees engaged and helping you spotlight their contributions towards your goal.

There are two types of Live Displays:

  • Fundraising Live Display: This display shows incoming contributions and/or progress towards a fundraising goal.

  • Silent Auction Live Display: This display shows a rotating view of silent auction items and is applicable only if you have a Silent Auction enabled.

Create Fundraising Live Display

  1. Visit your campaign’s Dashboard.

  2. Select Event Day from the left side menu and visit the Live Display tab.

  3. Select New Display. You’ll be taken to a page to customize your live display, including setting a name (for internal use only) and a light or dark theme.

  4. Select Fundraising as the Display type, then select which Display Mode you would like to use:

    1. Automatic: This display type starts from your current campaign's total and begins tracking as soon as it's published.

    2. Manual: Your display will start from a custom amount and will begin tracking as soon as you activate it. When selecting this option, you will indicate the amount the display will start from (such as $0).

  5. In the Display Elements section, adjust the toggles as desired.

    1. Fundraising Amount: This will show either your campaign's total or will begin with the manual amount you've customized (if using Manual mode). If you would like to show progress towards a specific fundraising goal on a thermometer rather than just an amount, you can optionally enter a goal.

    2. Scan-to-Donate: This will enable a large QR code that directs to the donation experience of your campaign.

    3. Donation Feed: This will show a live feed of donor names and the amount contributed.

  6. Click Publish Live Display.

After generating a display, you will return to the Live Display tab where your display will be listed. Use the three dot menu to the right of your display to launch your display or activate your display (for Manual Display Mode) or return to make any edits to display preferences. Live Displays will launch in a new window.

Note: When using Manual Mode, you will need to activate your display first for it to begin tracking contributions. Once activated, it will begin logging incoming contributions. If you need to reset your display at anytime to return it to your original start value, you will see a Reset Display option enabled once the display is activated.

Examples of Fundraising Live Display

We recommend playing around with different display elements to find the right display for your needs. The Fundraising version of the display can display a thermometer with progress towards your goal if a goal is provided, or it can show an interactive running tally of your funds raised. You can also choose to hide widgets like the donation feed, QR code, or amount raised. The examples below are shown in Light Mode, but you can enable Dark Mode.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Live Displays can I create?

There is no limit to the number of Live Displays you can create.

How do I access my Live Display?

Click on the three dot menu on the table where your Live Display is listed. Select Launch Display. Your Live Display will open in a new window. Note that if you're using the Manual mode for a Fundraising Display, you must activate the display for it to start logging activity.

I need to share my Live Display with an event coordinator who doesn’t have access to my Pledge It dashboard. How can I provide them with the display?

Launch your Live Display, which will open in a new window. Copy the URL for your Live Display and share it as needed. Viewing the Live Display does not require login access. Admin access would be needed to activate or reset a Live Display that's in Manual mode.

Can the Live Display show peer-to-peer fundraisers, teams, or Leaderboards?

No, not at this time. The Live Displays can only show donation activity (including Fund a Need donations) and silent auction activity, when the Silent Auction feature is enabled.

Can I change the logo that is shown on the Live Display?

The logo shown on the Live Display is the logo that's been set in your campaign's Design settings. Visit Settings > General Settings > Design to update the logo. Note that changing the logo on the campaign also changes the logo in your campaign's receipts and on your campaign's homepage.
