By default, all the items you add to your silent auction will follow the same bidding window (the start date and end date you set when creating your auction) as this is most common. However, it is possible to set a custom date for auction items, meaning that bidding for a particular item or items can start and/or end earlier or later than the rest of your items.
Note: The custom date for any auction item must fall within the start date and end date for your auction.
Steps
Visit your campaign’s Dashboard and select Auction from the left side menu.
Find the item that you’d like to set a custom date for.
Hover over the item, select the three dot menu, and click Edit Item. Alternatively, click on the item to pull up its profile, then select Edit in the top right corner.
Scroll to the bottom of the item settings to find the Item Date category. Click the toggle that says Use custom date.
Enter the start date, start time, end date, and end time for that particular item.
Click Save.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I verify the start and end times for bidding on a particular item?
From your Dashboard, visit your Auction and select an item. This will pull up the auction item's snapshot, showing you a summary of bid history and item status. View the Bidding Starts and Bidding Ends fields in the item summary. If you are viewing your public-facing auction while logged in as an admin, you will also see a button labeled "Manage Item" that you can select to reach the item snapshot.
